A Test Specimens can be evaluated in two different modes in reference to acoustic noise: The Test Specimen's response to acoustic noise and the Test Specimen's generation of acoustic noise.
Test Specimen Generated Acoustic Noise
American Environments can measure the noise emanating from a Test Specimen, either structureborne or airborne. Measurements are typically made in accordance with MIL-STD-740.
Test Specimen Response to Acoustic Noise
American Environments can also subject a test specimen to an artificially created noise field. Typical test standards include MIL-STD-810.
